BAPPS Supervision Writing Workshop
With Hanoch Yerushalmi
This is a recording of the event.
Writing a paper on psychodynamic therapeutic or supervisory issues based on the writer’s perceptions and experiences might seem challenging for clinicians, despite their proven capacities for treating, supervising, and teaching. The challenges might include doubts about the relevance or the novelty of the clinician’s understandings and theoretical explanations, concerns about the clinician’s privacy and the anonymity of the patients or the supervisees, and insecurity about the use of psychoanalytic conceptualization. However, writing a clinical text can be highly rewarding for clinicians who have formed solid views on developmental, pathological, and curative issues and wish to find a new outlet for their ideas and professional challenge.
